Our Juniors sessions run Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 6pm, and this is where young boxers build on the foundations learned in our Kids class, moving into more structured training and, for those old enough, the option to start competing.

As with every class involving children at Accrington Boxing, all instructors are fully licensed and DBS certified. Safety and proper supervision are never treated as optional here, regardless of how experienced or informal a session might feel.

From the age of 10, boxers training in our Juniors sessions become eligible to compete in England Boxing competitions. We regularly promote our own sanctioned events, with England Boxing doctors and officials present throughout to look after the welfare of everyone taking part. It is a genuine step up from training alone, and our coaches take time preparing each boxer properly, both physically and mentally, before they ever step into a competitive ring.

For those who want to push further, the pathway continues well beyond a local show. Our young boxers get the chance to take part in weekend long boxcups, testing themselves against fighters from other clubs and regions, and from there, some go on to represent their region, their country, and in certain cases, Great Britain itself.

Not every boxer training in our Juniors class wants to compete, and that is completely fine too. Plenty simply enjoy training four evenings a week, the discipline it builds, and the progress they see in themselves over time.

For those who do want to compete, the structure and opportunity genuinely exists here, built through our own connections with England Boxing rather than promised and never delivered. Whether your child is training for fitness, discipline or their first competitive bout, our Juniors sessions give them a proper foundation to build on, four evenings a week, every week.
